Jen
Jen has been working with our practice since November 1994.
She is a qualified Dental Assistant but over the years has spent more time in the clerical/reception side of the practice which she really enjoys.
Jen loves spending time with her husband, especially now that their 2 children have grown up and left home to follow their careers. They have 2 cheeky Beagles named Charlie and Daisy who keep them very busy. She really enjoys camping and tries to go as much as possible. Lennox Heads is one of her favourite spots. She is also looking forward to more overseas travel in the near future. She also loves cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Kayla
Kayla started working for our practice in September 2020. She was also a patient of ours in 2011-2013. You will mostly see her on the reception desk, or speak to her on the phone, but she sometimes jumps in to assist in the surgery too.
She is currently studying a Bachelor of Social Work, and hopes to specialise in mental health and substance abuse.
Kayla usually spends her spare time spoiling her puppy, Radley the black lab, or visiting the latest trendy restaurant with her partner and friends. She is very family oriented and feels very lucky to be able to work next door to her mum, who owns the salon next to our Corinda practice.
Caitlin
Caitlin started working for our practice in July 2020. You will mostly see Caitlin assisting in the surgery or scanning patients for clear aligner treatment!
Caitlin is currently studying a Bachelor of Radiation Therapy and works at her dad’s dental practice both on reception and in surgery.
Caitlin has an array of family pets including four dogs – Gustav, Delilah, Bluebell & Chilli, a horse – AJ, a goat – Lamington and a lizard – Wesley.
She loves exploring Brisbane, finding new restaurants, activities, and fun things to do after emigrating from England when she was 11. She is hoping to spend some more time travelling in the near future and hopes to see her family back in England soon!
Cheryl
Cheryl commenced working in the dental industry in 1988 after studying Dental Therapy. In 1994 she joined the team at Dr Tony Weir’s orthodontic practice. Cheryl went to Adelaide in 1999 where she studied dental hygiene. She has been working as a hygienist in both orthodontics and periodontics since this time. She is also a busy mum of three teenage children and a lovely little dog called Eddie.
Bella
Bella started working for our practice in February 2021. She is also currently an Invisalign patient with us. You will most likely see her in surgery on Saturdays.
She is beginning to study a Certificate III in Dental Assisting and hopes to continue a career in dental assisting after further study.
Bella’s family owns a little farm in Beaudesert with her adorable pets: dogs - Radar, Kizmit and Arnold, goats- Pickle, Ruckle, Rumi and Hannah, sheep, and chickens. She enjoys babysitting her 2-year-old little brother, Kavian.
Sharon
Sharon has been happily married to Tony since 2000. Her role in the practice is mainly carried out at home but on occasion you might find Sharon doing chairside assisting at either Corinda or Greenslopes. Her history in the dental industry goes back to the mid 1980’s where she began her career in the RAAF as a dental nurse, this is where Tony and Sharon first met. Sharon is passionate about many things and loves the great outdoors, she is an ultra-distance trail runner and a keen swimmer in the warmer months. Sharon is an animal lover and can’t miss an opportunity to give a dog a pat and a cuddle. The house is rather quiet these days with all three children grown up and living interstate and overseas. More time for running in the trails with Tony!
